Guitar is a musical instrument which is versatile in nature. A conventional guitar consists of six strings and there are different varieties of guitar available in the market. Some of the varieties of guitars available in the market are acoustic, electric and classic guitars. These guitars vary by the music generated by these variants. The process of how to play guitar is defined in various steps. The first step to play a guitar is tuning. Tuning refers to adjusting the tightness of the strings to produce the right sounds. This is a crucial step and a mistake in this step would produce a different tune. At first you can take the help of an expert to tune the guitar.
The next step is to learn the musical notes. The strings are arranged according to E-A-D-G-B-E in the descending order. As a part of the musical notes, numbers would be mentioned on the strings which indicate the frets to hold when you pluck the string.
Once you learn these musical notes, the next important step is the guitar positioning and finger movement. This can easily be learnt by closely observing others playing the tune. Modeling others is the best way to learn the basics of a guitar. Once you are comfortable with the finger movements, you can then start strumming which is the basic step to play a tune. With a regular practice and experimentation, you can create your own tunes. Practicing on an acoustic guitar at first is recommended. This is how to play guitar.
